Our previous Siemens Gigaset phone served us well for many years, but the buttons began not to register when pressed. We wanted to buy another Siemens phone since we liked the old one, were familiar with its operation and we appreciated its key features, e.g. you can check messages from any handset and can send contacts wirelessly to the other handsets. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any stores that stocked the newer generation of Siemens Gigaset phones (which looked sleek and feature rich). Furthermore, none of the other DECT phones that were apparently well received appeared to have either of these two key features. Fortunately, I heard that this Verizon V300 phone was made by Siemens and had similar excellent functionality and features as the Siemens Gigaset phones. We set the phone up today, are pleased to confirm this and we are glad that we chose to buy this phone. This phone is a winner.

I surveyed all of the top coordless phones and chose this one as the only one that had all the features I wanted. I didn't want an answering machine, but determined that it only added an extra $10, and wasn't an option, so decided to get it anyway. It has proved to be everything it was advertised to be. Range is phenominal. Sound quality is excellent. I liked being able to setup the directory once for both phones. I like the backlit keys for use at night; rarely need it, but really nice when I do. I use it on my VOIP computer phone connection, with wireless high-speed internet, and get no interference whatsoever. I use the baby-monitor sometimes as a car monitor, or front-door monitor if I'm busy in my garage, Speakerphone is awesome and so easy to use. Setup was a breeze. I'm glad I shopped around and found it, as I was expecting to get a different brand. Really happy with it!

I'm returning this phone for one reason only: Although I don't wear glasses, I found the keypad to be very small and very difficult to see, especially with the yellow-colored backlight that appears once you begin to dial a phone number. I had to hold the phone at an angle to see the numbers when dialing because of the backlight. Otherwise, the phone was great for the short time I had it and the calls were very clear.

This phone is great!! It is a little complicated at first, but easy to learn to use. there are a lot of feature on the Verizon that are not found on other cordless phones, things like a earphone jack (the earpiece comes with the phone), a speaker function, and belt clips so that you can use it hands-free. I love it, it is a good size, and feels "right" when you hold it to your ear. You can use both receivers at the same time (on the same call), most phones won't let you on the second receiver when one is in use. You can listen to your messages on the answering machine from the phone, and it has a little message button that flashes to let you know if you have missed a call. It can be used as a room monitor (with two or more receivers), and also as an alarm clock. there are all kinds of different ringtones, and you can set individual ringtones for different people so you will know who is calling just from the ring. The display has three screensavers to choose from, and shows how many calls you have missed, also how many messages are on the answering machine. All in all, I am very satisfied and would recommend the Verizon VZ-V300AM-2 DECT to anyone.

I purchased this phone on Oct 29th, 2008. It's now Jan 30th, 2009 and it's no longer working. I have called the service number 3 times and they keep telling me they will send an authorization number for return via e-mail. So far no e-mail from them or any communication whatsoever.
Can't return to Amazon because they only accept returns for 30 days.

Originally ordered this phone from a different Amazon vendor and never recieved the product.

Didn't like the hoops we had to jump through to get our money back from Amazon for the phone that didn't show up.

Really wanted the phone, so when they were back in stock, we tried a different vendor via Amazon. We were annoyed with Amazon, but not enough to stop using them yet.

Ordered it from the GizmosForLife via Amazon and they shipped it out the same day and we had it a few days later.

The GizmosForLife team is amazing and helpful.

Very easy to set up. It says to charge the phones for 10 hours, which is much short than the 24 hours that you will usually see with cordless phones. I like the idea that Wi-Fi and other such interferences do not effect it. It also comes with handfree set for each of the phones so you don't have switch the earpieces out depending on which one of the phones you are using.

When I ordered this, just needed a basic phone , and was such a low price, cheaper than noname phones from lik ewalmart, I AM AMAZED, this phone is sooo easy to use, BUT the amazing things is it COMES WITH TWO EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY EAR HEADSETS, and it has millions of fun features, such as call recording, screensavers, bunches of ring tones ,intercoms, change the colors of screens,and not to mention its small, featherlight, and a very pretty phone, ans machine, so many things this phone is WELL WORTH THE LOW PRICE, I priced it in some places and found it as expensive as 140$, this is an excellent excellent phone, I LOVE IT

I've had a lot of difficulties with cordless phones over the years. I live in a large older house with thick walls. But this phone works perfectly, even out in the garden. My only complaint - and it's really my fault - is that I didn't go for the two line version and cover the whole house.

The VZ-300 is a very good phone for the money,however I think the many features out do the ease of use.It is too like a cell phone for me,Unable to dial one handed,3 steps to call someone back from caller ID and tiny buttons,my fingers are not big.There is some delay after buttons are pushed,which makes complications when connected to automated operators.But again for the money it is decent phone,nice looking,I only gave 3 stars for sound quality because speaker phone is too low.If you are comfortable with you cell phone you may think nothing of these complaints.All of the new cordless phones I have reviewed are geared toward this technology.I think the days of making a phone like my Uniden TRU5885-2,easy to use,full of features,fall off the roof,fall in the tub,battery that lasted for 8 years in a family of 5 talkers are over.Manufacturers not making money.
