Andrew Hill solo--soars and takes you along with every note, September 15, 2010
One of the great and beautiful individualists in jazz (always a commercial detriment), Andrew Hill is in a pensive mood here, in one of the most evocative solo album releases in years. The music is always intimate and grounded in the resonance of the human body, fingers, torso, brain, soul. Andrew goes far--and takes the listener along for the ride.
