Long in the making but worth the wait. I have always looked for bilingual/parallel bibles that would offer the NIV translation along with an updated Spanish translation. This edition is a knock out in the sense that it offers the NIV English translation, along side with the very recent NVI (NIV in Spanish) translation. I find the NVI to be a good translation offering the great truths of the Bible in modern Spanish. Having this new translation has been a blessing to me, especially when I read multiple spanish translations together. By the way, this book is especially good if you are involved in ministering to bilingual youth, because not only do you have both languages in parallel - they are also exposed in a language we can understand. I hope this review has helped you, and even more that regardless of the Bible you purchase, that it might be a blessing unto your life and a lamp unto your feet.

I must say that I searched high and low for this type of translation. I wanted an English Bible written in modern text paired side by side with a Spanish Bible in modern Spanish text--a thought easier expressed than realized.

This version is absolutely perfect. For those of us studying Spanish, we can easily translate as the verses are side by side throughout the text.

I'm impressed with this tool...the Spanish/English are side by side and you can easily flip back and forth, whether it be for study or reading.

The binding and covers are solid, very high quality--I feel this is underpriced at $...

I highly recommend this resource, especially to anyone who wants to learn Spanish/English, or who evangelizes in those languages.

The hard cover edition is simply great, the silky pages are superbe in quality and the shared language layout is awsome. It is an incredible tool for everybody, like me, who enjoys religious material in both english and spanish.
Having both translations at hand gives you a new dimension of the Word of God.
Altough I feel a page marker is missing I still give this bible a 5 star rating. The slick black hard cover and the silky pages are top quality, it is just great.

I am very plesed with this bible. I use it for the purpose of studying Spanish. I find this an excellent way to master new vocabulary and for gaining an understanding of idiomatic phrases. In the past I used separate Bibles and this was very time consuming. I can now read a chapter a day and study the new phrases without having recourse to a dictionary.

I would like to point out that one gains new insights into Sacred Scripture when one reads it in different languages.

I love this bilingual Bible, it has both languages on the same page which makes it a great tool for reference. The one drawback is that it does not have the chapters & verse numbered to the left of the of each paragraph.

I bought this Bible because I wanted to improve my Spanish and because I attend a bilingual church. I use this Bible for my devotionals and I love it! The passages of English and Spanish are side by side, so it's easy to go back and forth between the languages. I'd like to think that my Spanish is improving, and I feel more connected to my pastor and other church members now that I can read the scriptures in Spanish as well as in English. Also, I love the fact that I am learning to worship and praise God in a new language!

I was disappointed when I received this Bible, because it did not look like the picture on Amazon. I had just bought a blue and black Bible (like the one pictured on Amazon) for a college student at a local store, and her friend liked it so much she wanted one. When the store said they had run out, I ordered two from Amazon: one for her and one for me. The two Bibles arrived very quickly, but inside the blue and black boxes were plain black Bibles--rather old-fashioned looking. They were nicely packaged, but it is disappointing when you assume you have purchased one item and then receive something quite different. That said, the inside is attractive and laid out nicely. It would make a great gift for a bilingual student/friend/Christian worker.

I'm very impressed with the quality of this book, I purchased the hard copy and is not only the cover nice looking the paper is superb.
This bible is exactly what I needed and exceeded my expectations in many ways, having the parallel format is a genius idea and extremely helpful and you can't beat the price.
Great tool for people that is learning either language.
Go and get one, you will love it!
