Product Description

Waterproof Case for iPad

Since our introduction of waterproof case for iPad 1 in April, 2010, we have constantly made improvements to this new category. Our waterproof cases for iPad and eReader have been recommended by New York Times, Wall Street Journal,ABC's The Revolution, Budget Travel and many others. We have made many improvements to our original modle. The compartment is more fitting. The front side is transparent. There are no more seams between the transparent window and the border in the front. This makes the case even more durable, yet provides more flexibility and area of interaction.

WaterGuard Waterproof Case is a perfect companion when when you use your iPad at the beach, near the pool side, in the bathtub or at the kitchen table. It provides greatprotection when you get stuck in a rainstorm or accidentally drop you bag on a wet surface. When using this case, the iPad can be slippeddirectly into the WaterGuard pocket and the transparent surface provides easy interaction with the device.

If you have a zagg skin or similar screen protector, don't use this case.

Worse yet, the lanyard is oriented to the folding sealed end, making the ipad hang upside down if you use the lanyard.

I received this case about a week after my ipad arrived.

The construction of this case I simply too light to hold up to daily use. It's falling apart at the seams in 3 places after 2 weeks of use!!

The fit was overly large for the ipad, which initially seemed like a good thing, as It allowed me to keep the apple iPad Case on the iPad (folded open), providing a fairly good degree of padding when picking up or putting down on hard surfaces.

I have no problems with the plastic material as far as touchscreen usability goes. It works perfectly, but the seams of the cover are thin heat crimps and have begun to fail (the case is literally separating at the seams) after nearly 0 exposure to the harsh elements that it's designed to protect against.

The double ziplock is useless if the ends of the seal don't hold up. Overall, the pouch opening and double ziplock seam is convenient but unattractive and bulky. You'll want to orient the iPad dock connector to the open side of the pouch so you can charge without removing the ipad, but when sealed and in use, you now have a floppy end on the bottom of the iPad.

Worse yet, the lanyard is oriented to the folding sealed end, making the ipad hang upside down if you use the lanyard. Not terribly useful, if you want to use it from any distance with the lanyard in use.

The "Trendy Digital" name now says it all, this product is cheap, underbuilt, poorly designed, and imho, not worthy or capable of protecting any electronic device for more than a week. Any sustained use will destroy the seams and integrity of the case.

This product appears to have been designed by bandwagon-jumpers, with little concern for its actual function.

In my opinion, you shouldn't waste your money, or risk any electronic device to this poorly designed and flimsily built case.

Unfortunately, a complete waste of money.

Don't use this product if your iPad has a screen Protector on it. The clear plastic stuck to my $30 Zagg Invisishield, and was unable to removed from Trendy case without detroying the invisishield.

This is perfect a rainy day or at the beach. You can write and do all the stuff you want to do although the iPad is inside a waterproof bag. A tip - put a paper behind the iPad and it will be easier when you remove it from the bag.

That Trendy Digital iPad case seems to work fine in the first week, but then the weld at the top of the seal on both sids failed allowing the case to leak, and preventing any further use, do to its inability to keep the iPad dry.

I bought this so my child can use the ipad, mainly because of Spills and even scratches. The iPad fits inside and the plastic sort of clings to the ipad so there are no bubbles. It protects great, A kid could spill anything and it would never do any damage. It is quite responsive through the plastic cover, and well I would highly recommend it if you are using it with kids. I don't think it would be my main cover unless I worked in a wet environment. I therefore give it 4 out of 5.

this is actually the second case I got. I"ll be honest though, after buying the first case I would not have bought this again had I not gotten it today as a gift. But I'm glad that I did.

The original case had seams. I thought it was awesome until those seams wore out after several uses and I wasn't about to risk my iPad to it's so called "protection". in fact, it bugged me so much I trashed it.

While I never take my iPad to the beach or pool since getting a Kindle which reads way better outside, I mentioned recently that I wish I could look up a recipe on the Internet and trust myself that I won't splash something on it while using it in the kitchen.

Then today my friend brought over this as my Christmas gift. I'll be honest, my disappointment may have been obvious in spite of the very sweet gesture. I did not have a good experience initially with this case.

The company maybe should have renamed this as a different model. What I hated in the design before is now gone---the seams that wore out before are now not on this anymore.

I can never have enough kitchen gadgets and recipe sources in my kitchen. while I probably will usually stick to other sources to cook, it's still nice to know that when I have to whip up a recipe on the net specifically, I feel safe that I won't trash my iPad doing it.

Then too, should I ever need to work while on vacation at least I know there is an option of keeping sand and water from damaging my iPad while work damages my vacation time!

So I'm outside at the BBQ (We live in L.A.) two days ago and my greasy fingered friend was drooling over my iPad. Three days ago I would have given him "the look" but NOW, with my waterproof case, no worries! Awesome! I wanted to play with it while soaking in the tub, problem solved! Now I'm not worried about leaving it on the coffee table, or using it in the kitchen (great for digital cookbooks) for fear of accidental spills. Plus, the extra bonus for me is the shoulder strap. This iPad is freaking AWESOME but I can't keep it in my pocket like my iPhone. I'm a songwriter with a disorganized brain who works her own hours. I carry this iPad everywhere so I can jot down random ideas (write pad app has handwriting recognition and Dragon has voice to text!) but often my hands are full. I haven't been able to find a simple case with a strap. Until I do, the waterproof case works great! I'm thinking of leaving it in the case anytime I'm not using it. I don't trust the slobs I know NOT to grease it up.
