Molly Rausch Typewriter
Verso Typewriter E-Reader Cover for Kindle Fire
By LightWedge

There’s nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come. Why? Because ideas fuel action, and when somebody takes action…things change. And whether those things are the weekend plans for a group of texting girlfriends or the treaties and declarations that shape the geopolitical landscape of a continent, the origins of change can often be traced back to written words.

Typewriters embody this kind of potential energy,” says artist Molly Rausch, designer of the Verso Typewriter e-reader cover. “Simply by rearranging the 26 letters of the English alphabet, you can say everything that’s ever been said, and there’s no limitation to what you can do.”

This concept of potential energy seems appropriate for an e-reader cover. What words will you download on your e-reader? What changes might they bring to your life—more entertaining evenings at home? More enjoyable train rides to work? Whatever you do, the rugged synthetic cover will keep your device properly protected while the interior cradles it in advanced microfiber, engineered for maximum softness. An interior pocket, meanwhile, hides important documents or receipts while traveling, and silicone-enhanced corner elastics maintain a tight grip on your device that’s guaranteed to last for as long as you have it.

The Typewriter E-Reader Cover is part of the Verso Artist Series Collection

Art represents of a view of life expressed in terms unique to the artist. In the same way, literature represents a view of life expressed in words unique to the author. The Verso Artist Series brings the two together. When researching the type of artists and art we wanted to contribute to the Verso Artist series, we sought out work that encouraged an active interplay on the part of the viewer with visuals that sparked imagination and provoked thoughtful moments. We believe the ability to provoke such inner dialogue is the mark of both good art and good literature.

1.0 out of 5 stars OHHH if I had to do it all over again!! June 1, 2011
Color Name:Green|Verified Purchase
It's cute, but not functional. The four bands that hold the cover to the corners of the Kindle slip off on a regular basis and it takes a while to get everything readjusted.... but it's cute. (The cover I had for my old Kindle clipped in - falling off was never an issue.)

1.0 out of 5 stars horrible product May 19, 2011
Color Name:Green|Verified Purchase
This product is great on the outside, but horrible on the inside, I have only had my kindle and the cover for a little over a month and the cover is a joke, the elastic bands that are supposed to "secure" the kindle are all stretched out like a used ponytail holder. The kindle slides around in it and the corner bands are always slipping off. I've recently been able to see other products that are superior to this one at a cheaper price. I spent about $50.00 with shipping included and now it is to late to return, so hopefully no one will make the same mistake that I have based on the exterior of this worthless product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for the Kindle 3 April 21, 2011
By Steve
Color Name:Green|Verified Purchase
Beware of the very misleading description for this product. When used as a cover for the Kindle 3 the straps which hold the kindle in place cover the lower keys on the keyboard. In fact, they press the keys down which is a big problem. Amazon should not be selling this as a Kindle cover.

5.0 out of 5 stars Versa Kindle Cover February 18, 2011
By Sandy D
Color Name:Pink|Verified Purchase
I just received my Verso Kindle Cover today and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the leather. I have shopped for a cover since I received my Kindle at Christmas; for the price this is the nicest cover that I have found. It has Style as well. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kindle Case March 27, 2012
By ofAlena
Color Name:Green|Verified Purchase
It's a wonderful case for my Kindle Fire. It's light weight and nice to look at, it holds the kindle more securely than the other case I had for it, and the pocket inside is perfect for holding paper and notes if I was reading something for class or a book review. It folds completely out of the way, and can actually make a nice little stand for the Kindle to watch something or play a game that requires the device to be on it's side.

The case is durable and protective for the device as well, and has kept my device safe and secure.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sorry but I'm not impressed May 21, 2012
Color Name:Green|Verified Purchase
I bought this for $25 as a Gold Box Deal for the refurbished Kindle Fire I bought. I have a Kindle Keyboard, too, and I always found these covers very attractive so when the deal came along, I tried it.

Sorry but I'm not impressed at all, not even for the deal price I paid for it. I was very disappointed. This is very thin with no padding and there is really no way to stand the Fire on it to watch movies. They marketed this for being used for the Fire but no way would this have worked out for my Fire. I actually returned it.

The bands on the corners barely fit. I know you wouldn't want them to be loose, either, but they were so tight it looked like after a month or so they would have snapped. This would probably be fine at $20 for the Kindle Keyboard but I have paid under $10 for cases that are better than this one.

CaseCrown is a great brand that I would recommend. I have one for my Fire, my Xoom, and my Kindle Keyboard all at or under $10 and far better quality for this thing.

So no way would I buy it for the Fire. But if you have a Kindle Keyboard and love the look of it and are someone who wants style over function, then this would suit you. As far as protection, this offers very little.

Even for the stylish look of this, it is nowhere near being worth $40. No way.

This might be something I'd buy as a gift for someone with a Kindle Keyboard, but otherwise I would never purchase it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful book cover July 14, 2011
By Ollie
Color Name:Green|Verified Purchase
I was thrilled to receive my kindle cover in the mail. I looked and debated for days over which one to order. There are so many to pick from. The leather for this cover is gorgeously soft and has that new leather smell. The art on it is really amazing. I love how easy the cover is to hold. If I get too lazy to hold my kindle, the cover props it up well from two sides. Great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits Paperwhite great, and super cool design! January 23, 2014
Color Name:Green|Verified Purchase
Don't give up if you're looking for this cover still! I just got it (January, 2014) from a third-party seller and am super pleased with it. The design by Molly Rausch is wonderful, and the sage color is very nice. The inside is a soft fawn color and is very soft with a handy pocket. I am using it for my Paperwhite, which is smaller than a Fire, but the elastic bands hold it securely anyway. My only suggestion to improve it would be to have a way to secure it closed so that, if you drop it (and you will), it can't land on the front of y our Kindle.

I love it! I don't understand all the negative reviews.
