4.0 out of 5 stars Useful little book

2.0 out of 5 stars A survey of milling - not a how-to book
I was expecting a hands-on tutorial on the use of a vertical milling machine. Instead all I got was a nice novel complete with detailed photographs of the author's accomplishments. He is accomplished, he just doesn't tell us how he did any of it!

I think author's coments about milling machines willhelp the novice with the selection of a machine - what to look for. I personally found it very helpful - I am just learning how to use my Clausing mill and this book will help.
