U2 "Achtung Baby" 20th Anniversary

Biography

U2 formed in 1978 after Larry Mullen pinned a 'musicians wanted' ad to the notice board at Dublin's Temple Mount School. Adam Clayton had discovered rock'n'roll as a thirteen year old, buying his first acoustic guitar and then talking his parents into buying him a bass guitar. 'It just sounded good to me. Deep and fat and satisfying.'

From the beginning, U2 were marked out by their passion. "A band… Read more in Amazon's U2 Store

3.0 out of 5 stars Good b-side, November 17, 2004

If you have not heard "Vertigo", then you have been living under a rock. The real catch, and what makes this cd-single better than Vertigo #2, is the b-side, which is a good (but not great tune) - a bit of a rocker, lyrically in the vein of "Always" (the b-side from "Beautiful Day") - and a nice addition to those who will be burning their own HTDAAB+ cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Loving It!!!, November 18, 2004
By
This review is from: Vertigo 1 (Audio CD)
Ladies and Gents, the most overplayed song of 2004. It is successfully being played on every media possible, but it's still a great track. The band in it's primary colours of rock n' roll, the Edge is a God man! Good B-side too, which Edge really works, but the lyrics and chorus is weak. Still worth every penny though.

4.0 out of 5 stars B-Side For The EXtreme u2 fan!, November 30, 2004
By
This review is from: Vertigo 1 (Audio CD)
I bought this single exclusively for the b-side. "Are You Gonna Wait Forever". This a great ,upbeat song!!! I wish it was on the regular album! I wish it could take the place of either the 7th,8th, or 10th track on the regular album. I think one of those songs should be a b-side, but not this one.
