Can't believe that nobody has reviewed this. A great top-10 of your CD collection. A big (but small) sample of the many great local bands in mid/west michigan.

This product is actually the guitar sheet music for The Verve Pipe's Villians album, not the album/CD itself.

I bought this book several years ago while browsing a guitar shop. I've been disappointed in sheet music books in the past, in some cases finding that my "hacked" rendition of a song sounds more like the original recording than the sheet music I'd just purchased.

This book, however, was written in collaboration with A.J. Dunning, the lead guitarist on The Verve Pipe's Villians album. It's labeled "as recorded" and it's an accurate label.

There are some parts of some songs where the guitar part is written as a combination of the recorded elements on the original track, distilling the multiple guitar parts into a consolidated representation. In these cases, of course, the music isn't note-for-note perfect, but the distillate still sounds great.
