Finally Coconut Records decided to release A La Carte tracks on CD. You will find both original versions and remixes on this CD. The group was very popular in Germany late 70's, early 80's. The music itself sounds a little bit kitchy, but it is very melodic (similar to Vengaboys today)and if you like Boney M, Luv and other disco groups of 80's , this CD is just for you.

In the mid-80's, I heard A-La-Carte being played at my Dad's night club in Auckland (NZ). Listening to it again really brings back the memories.

I first heard this group way back in the 80s when I lived in NYC. My best friend had You Got me on the Run on 12" single and being a fan of anything Euro, I flipped over it. As it was out of print at the time, I never saw it again. I was lucky enough to find on Ebay, a Russian pressing of their full albums on CD. This CD has all the same songs and is a must for fans of Boney M. Abba fans might like this too. A La Carte had some very nice tunes and remind me a lot of the Dutch group Dolly Dots. Love Me Just a Little Bit More-Greatest Hits Some other groups you might like if you can find them are: Lili & Susie from Sweden (produced by Secret Service Top Secret: Greatest Hits), Clout (from South Africa), they sound like a rock ABBA.
