I could not believe I found this cd. The quality of the recordings and his voice are excellent. This CD incorporates his music of 50's &60's and has many old time favorites of the over 40 generation.

Almost everything's here from Frankie Laine's mid-60's ABC/Paramount recordings. You'll find yourself singing along with song after song. If I had one wish though it would have been the inclusion of "Every Street's A Boulevard (In Old New York)" a true Laine classic recording nearly impossible to locate. It would be difficult to find a better representation of American pop vocalist during the British music invasion than this Frankie Laine collection.

There are MANY Frankie Laine hits that you will NOT find on this CD but anything he wrapped his tonsils around was and is good listening. Herein you will find the DEFINITIVE VERSION of "You Gave Me A Mountain" written and also recorded by the talented Marty Robbins (as well as Elvis Presley). That alone is worth the price unless you can find it on a single somewhere. Such emotion! You can find hits by Frankie Laine going back to the 1940s that don't sound dated; I encourage you to buy them but don't fail to include this compilation in your collection or you'll be missing out!

Had this album on an old 8-track and looked hi and lo to find it on CD. When my friends and family heard this CD, they had to have one also.
