I was a little leary to buy this cd b/c I had read many reviews on how some of the Bob Marley "best of" albums had very poor recording quality. I took a chance and I'm glad I did. From what I can tell, it sounds like the tracks are remastered. They don't sound "low" or "underwater".
This 2 disc set has a great collection of songs from the box set, "Songs of Freedom" for a low price. The box set sells for around $60 so this is a little easier on the wallet. A lot of people are fans of the "Legend" album as it is definitely a classic. However, many people are unaware of some of the other great songs that Bob Marley wrote. Songs like Mr Brown, Mellow Mood, Soul Rebel, and Natural Mystic are just some of the songs on here that are pure musical bliss. If you are fan of Bob Marley or just getting started, I highly recommend adding this 2 disc set to your collection. Bob Marley is one of the greatest musicians that ever lived. Listen to this and you will know why he is truly a Legend. |
