Editorial Reviews

With a recording career of over fifty years' duration, Jack Dupree was one of the most often recorded blues' pianists of all time. His sessions for King Records (included here in their entirety) are especially interesting due to the variety of musical accompaniment used during the nine separate recording dates. Also notable is the fact that he had his one and only chart success with King Records -- "Walkin' The Blues" -- in 1955.
