I really enjoyed hearing David Rose again and I sincerely hope that more David Rose albums are released. I questioned whether this is the best of David Rose. My favorates in addition to Holiday for Strings, are California Melodies, Our Waltz and One Love.

David Rose is, (in my opinion)the best orchestra conductor period. The man is a legend. I would really like to see more of his music on cd. His greatest hits is priceless. He also was a great writer. Ponderosa and Hoss on this cd was written by him for Bonanza. A MUST CD!

IN 1958 59 I MET DAVID ROSE AT THE STATE FAIR IN SACRAMENTO CA. HE TEATED ME LIKE I WAS ONE OF HIS OWN KIDS HE DID NOT LOOK DOWN ON ME HE LOOKED UP TO ME IM A HANDICAPPED GIRL OR WOMAN I SHOULD SAY I HAD A LOT OF HIS RECORDS I SURE MISS HEARING HIS MUSIC. I LIKED TALKING WITH HIM BACK THEN. I CRIED WHEN I HEARD THAT HE HAD PASSED AWAY I SURE WILL MISS TALKING TO HIM. THANK YOU.
