5.0 out of 5 stars the best 80`s dance c.d. I have to date!!!!!!!
After looking for all the music that I grew up to I have found alot of it on this c.d. Thank you. I LIKE THAT THERE IS NO REAL BREAKS BETWEEN SONGS WHICH ALLOWS THE PARTY TO KEEP RIGHT ON GROOVIN. I WILL BE PURCHASING ANOTHER ONE OF THE SAME.THANKS AGAIN.

3.0 out of 5 stars The cuts are terrific, but...
An outstanding collection. 'Nuff said.
But the engineer responsible for setting the digital recording level should be forced to listen to this disc every day for all eternity. A travesty.
(if that means nothing to you, the translation is: it sounds pretty awful)

I've bought dozens of "street jamz" and "diggin' the crates" but take a brit to properly compile a set that truly has all of the hits that defined the hip hop scene in the mid-80's. Yes, you're probably tired of Rockit by Herbie Hancock, but isn't it definitive? Same with Planet Rock by AB&SSF? Also includes a few later defining hits like Run DMC "It's like that". Best about this set: the only CD as far as I can tell with Amityville by Lovebug Starski, Rock Steady Crew eponymous cut, and Malcolm X "No Sell Out". Potential problem if you want to select out just a few like these three - it's a mix, otoh with only a few beats overlap.
