From soap star to pop star his image and music was the dream of many teen fan. In the late eighties and earlie nineties, Stock Aitken Waterman were hugely successful producers of the most perfect pop-music gems. Their roster of artists included Bananarama, Rick Astley, Dead or Alive, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan. This was a major phenomenon that was greatly overlooked in the United States.

This collection is the most comprehensive collection of Jason's work with SAW. It's better than the greatest hits, too, as it includes all but one of his b-sides, which, up until now, were only available on out-of-print singles.

After leaving the stable of artists at SAW, Jason's pop music career took a major nosedive and he has not released anything new since 1993 (although he has appeared on a couple of UK cast recordings). But it doesn't matter as this is the only album of his that you will ever need.

His post SAW work is bland and tepid without the fun and freedom of the music represented here.

Years from now Stock Aitken Waterman will be heralded for their fun-filled perfect pop music and people will remember Jason Donovan. He and Kylie ruled the British charts from '89 - '91.

I love the PWL sound,Mike Stock,Matt Aitken,And Pete Waterman were three of the greatest producers in the world. here is another great artist that they worked with,Jason Donovan is a refresher,cuz,usually,the PWL Three worked mainly with women(Kylie Minogue,Donna Summer,Bananarama,Sinitta,Sonia) But he is breathtaking,My true favorite song on this album is Too may broken hearts.cause there is.

Jason Donovan is an Outstanding Pop Vocalist and his voice comes from depth of his soul to win hearts of his fans. I heard him and Kylie minogue with this album and he scored on 'Permanent Top' of my collection of Fav Stars. I even possess Jason n Kylie Song videos and his innocense strike the brain's emotional switchboard and you just can't stop loving him. All his songs have great meaning and music. Especially for you is a great Valentine pick, You can depend on me and Nothing Can divide us are touching too. Too many broken hearts...too many dreams could be broken in two is comforting and building up hopes. Sealed with a kiss in Jason's voice is oh so lively promising to send love to his fans too, I guess. Sure Pick, Thats Jason Donovan for Valentine.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A COMPILATION OF ALL THE BEST SONGS, JASON DONOVAN HAS EVER RELEASED AS AN ARTISTE, BEFORE HIS POP CAREER WENT DOWN THE TOILET, YOU COULDN'T HAVE FOUND A BETTER CD OTHER THAN THIS! A MUST FOR ALL KYLIE, SINITTA, SONIA AND JASON FANS! EXCELLENT TRACKS INCLUDE: "YOU CAN DEPEND ON ME", "WRAP MY ARMS AROUND YOU", "I'M DOING FINE" AND "TOO MANY BROKEN HEARTS".

I havent heard very much about Jason, since I live in the US. But he's got a gr8 voice and his duet w/Kylie on "Especially for you" is phenomenal!

Im like alot of you. I loved the S/A/W years... but Jason was never what i would ever have considered good. He always came across as stiff, and really quite boring. Other than his duet with Kylie, he really never brought anything worthwhile to the table. Buy this only if you are a true fan, otherwise save your money!
