a great act, a victim of poor promotion, April 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Very Best of Living in a Box (Audio CD)
Living In A Box funks out. This compilation has all of the best cuts from their two albums, save ""From Beginning To End'' and ""Human Story''. If any of these boytoy groups -- backstreet boys, nsync, 98 degrees, and boys ii men, for that matter-- had half the soul of liab vocalist richard darbyshire, the world press would be praising them to hell. Instead, richard and his two songwriting buds are mere trivia questions. We live in an unjust world. do yourself a favor. buy this cd.

A TRULY UNIQUELY TALENTED VOCALIST, SONGWRITER & MUSICIAN!, March 14, 2000
This review is from: Very Best of Living in a Box (Audio CD)
Once in a blue moon, an artist comes along who stands apart from the rest and makes you take notice - the likes of a Sinatra, Billy Joel, or Streisand. Richard Darbyshire, the always soulful and stylish lead vocalist of Living In a Box, is one such artist. Richard's voice will keep you listening, interested, and amazed! Who else can blend bluesy roughness with soft-as-silk phrasing from one syllable to the next like Richard? This 'greatest hits' album includes the band's only US hit ("Living In a Box") and offers the listener a nice mix of the smooth ballads and upbeat, funky tunes that charted in Europe and Asia ("Blow The House Down", "Scales Of Justice", "Room In Your Heart", "Different Air"). If you enjoy Richard's under-rated talents on this album, you NEED to hear his FANTASTIC solo album, which you can find support this artist by sharing the music with a friend or two!

One romantic song: "Room in your heart", March 14, 2000
This review is from: Very Best of Living in a Box (Audio CD)
I am totally agree with the comment of Carlos Galvalizi from Buenos Aires. I live here too and I was trying hard to find this CD, but it seems that it is not available. I think this is a song to be listened with your couple. I strongly suggest to play it in company.
