Editorial Reviews

UK release. Michael Holliday was undoubtedly one of the most popular vocalists of the late 1950s and early 1960s, and his relaxed warm baritone voice appealed to all age groups. He was the first artist to reach #1 with a Burt Bacharach song, and the first of many Liverpool acts to top the charts in the swinging sixties. This Collection features all the best moments of Micheal Hollidays' career. EMI UK. 2006.

I was a teenager in the late 50/60s well into Rock and Roll, Elvis Gerry Lee Lewis Little Richard etc. However there was a British crooner with a wonderful voice that I really enjoyed. He achieved two number one's in the UK charts with `The Story of my Life' and Starry Eyed despite the overwhelming power of the rockers. On this disc there are all his other major hits including Stairway of Love, My Last Date with you and The Folks that live on the hill. This is great nostalgia for me certainly well worth the CD's low price.
