5.0 out of 5 stars An R&B Diva!
Miki Howard has one of the most fantastic, powerful soul voices there is. This album has some of her best vocals from previous CDs (some of which are out of print).

1.0 out of 5 stars Ok
Just recd CD. Love Miki Howard...but two of titles on CD skipped 14 and 15 to be exact. Glad they weren't my favorites or I would have returned. Wasn't happy. I thought I was getting a clear CD not a CD someone dubbed. Like they say you get what you pay for. won't order anymore music from Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars An R&B Diva!, May 23, 2004
Miki Howard has one of the most fantastic, powerful soul voices there is. This album has some of her best vocals from previous CDs (some of which are out of print).

"Come Share My Love" is a great opener. Just listen to her voice on "Imagination"--it's wonderful! Miki bears her raw soul in "You've Changed". Miki is a knock-out on the blusey "Baby Be Mine". "Ain't Nobody Like You" is an all-out, blow-out number that smolders. "Ain't Nuthin' In The World" is a real cooker. Listen to that seering anthem "Love Under New Management"...it's over the top! Miki's voice just flows soulfully on that old Aretha hit "Until You Come Back To Me".

Hopefully there will be a volume 2 to this CD. After her nominated album "Three Wishes" it seemed that Miki was finally on her way, but where is she? A wise producer and/or arranger knows that this singer deserves another new project. This is a voice that should be heard!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Mikki!!!, July 14, 2003
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This woman has a very nice strong high pitched voice she had a lot of wonerful songs during the 80's she is awesome and she has some great songs on this album it reminds me of yesteryear I remember when she first came out I think that I was in the sixth grade it was share my love and I used to love that song especially the ending !!! This album features: come share my love, love under new management, aint nobody like you the remake of Aretha Franklin's til u come back to me and many other great songs I guess she inherited this great voice her mother used to sing with the fantastic gospel group called Inez Andrews and the Caravan an awesome gospel group that was out about 30 years ago but Mikki is truly talented and very beautiful so I would truly recommend this album!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Miki's the Greatest, August 20, 2001
Atlantic Records has released Miki's greatest hits to accompany the release of her album Three Wishes on Peak records. This album contains some of Miki's most soulful hits, songs that made her an 80s icon (especially with R&B/quiet storm fans). The standouts on the album include Come Share My Love, Imagination, Baby Be Mine, You've Changed, Love Under New Management (I forgot how much she preaches in this song), and Don't Explain (from her greatest album ever -- Miki Sings Billie: A Tribute to Billie Holiday). If you need an intro to Miki or if you are are a Miki fan and want her greatest music on one CD, then this album is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Giving a diva her due., September 26, 2001
Here is a collection of hits from someone who deserved her success and more. Her voice was different from Jennifer Holiday, Patti LaBelle, Regina Belle, and Whitney Houston, and this CD will take you from one sultry extreme to another, without missing a beat. From COME SHARE MY LOVE to BABY BE MINE to AIN'T NUTHIN IN THE WORLD, here is a lady who could sing with the best of them, and this disc is a tribute to not only her talent, but the love that she placed within each and every song. For the Miki fan in you, or if heard some of her songs, but never purchased any, then pick this up and hold on, because the best has just arrived.

Love it! I truly miss her and hope she comes back with some good stuff. She is really gifted and her music speaks to the pain and joy that many encounter within relationships. I love this CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great collection!, September 3, 2002

Miki Howard is definately one of the best vocalists out today.
Her music is a gentle mixture of jazz classics and modern R&B. No hip-hop here, this collection is a must have for Miki Howard fans and new listeners!

5.0 out of 5 stars OLD SKOOL AT ITS BEST, August 17, 2007
I'M A MUSIC FAN TIRED OF ALL OF THE SONGS TODAY SOUNDING ALIKE. THERE IS NO ORIGINALITY. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT SEX, CHEATING,AND BLING. I WENT BACK IN TIME TO FIND TIMELESS ORIGINAL SONGS WITH MEANING. HER SINGING IS SUPERB AND COMES FROM AN ERA WHEN REAL WOMAN PUT THEIR BEST FOOT FORWARD WITHOUT THE USE OF SOUND MACHINES. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE SAME YOU WILL FIND IT HERE IN THIS COLLECTION.

5.0 out of 5 stars under utilized voice, February 7, 2007
i am listening to this cd right now. i bought this cd because i wanted the duet with gerald levert. but this woman can blow. i am disappointed that she doesnt have as many projects as she should. what a loss to those of us who really like SINGERS and not these fly by night artist of this century. in my opinion she is of the caliper of gladys knight, aretha franklin and nancy wilson if given the opportunity she and her music will stand the test of time.
she is a mellow seductive voice that i never tire of listening to

5.0 out of 5 stars Miki is so under-rated, December 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've always been a Miki Howard fan, this CD has most of the hits I love by her. Its a shame the record company gets all the profits from her music and she still struggles financially. I also ordered her Private Collection but its taking a while to ship. I love the Billy Holiday remake "Don't Explain", she really sings that one. The whole CD is really good.

5.0 out of 5 stars REAL R&B!!!!!!!, November 24, 2010
This album is just simply AMAZING..... this is what today's R&B is lacking.....singers who can actually sing....alot of today's so-called singers are nothing more than just half naked, overpaid, & over rated dancers who focus too much on sex instead of focusing on possessing REAL TALENT......
