This cd has a great variety of songs, where we get to see more sides of Pearl than usual. She is nostalgic, romantic, and emotional on songs like "Second Time Around" and my new favorite P.B. tune "Deep in a Dream." Her take on songs from her shows like "House of Flowers" and "Tired" (from Variety Girl) make it easy to understand why she was the go-to choice for movie producers and Broadway writers who wanted to hear their songs infused with "Personality." And fans (like me) of her famous (perfectly-timed and often hilarious) ad-libbed asides, which are showcased to maximum effect on her For Adults... albums, will love the way she trips along through "Rip Van Winkle," "How Far Can a Lady Go?," and "You Can't Love Them All." The quality of the recordings is good (sound great on my iPod!), and the little booklet has some biographical info and a few good photos. She is at the VERY top of her game on the For Adults... albums, but this is a great collection of great songs and a great intro to a great performer.

This is a great Cd. I love the music. I love her voice. It is a bit husky and a lot wonderful.

I saw a tapeed copy fo the Dina Shore show. Pearl Bailey was on it. I forgot how good her voice was. This is one of several CD's i have orded. She is marvilos and definatley her unique style is fantastic!

The sound quality was good. It arrived on time. It made my Mother very happy to receive a gift that brought back fond memories.
