The music rates 5 stars but the song selection is not so good. Just do yourself a favor and get Power Pop, Volumes 1 and 2. Just buy those two CDs here and you have ALL four Raspberries albums. Pretty simple.

All four original albums released are 5 star.
So therefore this cd must be 5 star.
It is a good place to start, but I would buy all the originals .
Complete Collectors should not discourage new people from starting !

The title speaks for itself. Other than their big hits (go all the way, let's pretend, I wanna be with you & overnight sensation) most people have never heard any other Raspberries tunes. I have always loved the songs I've mentioned here, but was quite thrilled by the new songs I discovered on the CD. There are 16 other great songs here. I was only 10 years old in 1970, never really had the chance to enjoy the full Raspberries experience, until now, that is. Buy this one, it is worth it!

This was a used item, probably from someone's collection. The disc inside the CD case was from an unknown group from Germany. The cost involved was not enough to go to the trouble of correcting the problem. If you are going to sell used items, my suggestion would be to make sure the product inside the CD case matches the packaging. I just disposed of the whole thing and got it from another seller. The 5 star rating is for the product advertised, not the product I received.

This will be the 2nd time I have returned this CD because it contained something totally different than "The Very Best Of The Raspberries" I am very dissapointed and learned a lesson, read the review(s) first before you give up the money. Obviously I am not alone on the CD. I probably think twice before I order from Amazon again.

I ordered this CD three times. One time it was lost in the mail. Two times the wrong CD was in the case. Amazon decided the problem was "more widespread than we realized" and told me they would no onger offer the CD.

I ordered the CD twice and both times received the wrong CD in the the right case. Thw wrong CD was Propaganda so I can't rate the CD I ordered.

i have sent this product back twice now because they sent the wrong cd and have still not received it or gotten my money back....horrible

The CD case read 'The Very Best of the Raspberries', but, the CD inside was of some other group. CD returned and replaced, again the same situation.

First off let me say that I am one of the biggest fans of Raspberries you will ever find.I was fortunate enough to see them twice in the early seventies and I already have my tickets for the reunion show in New York this summer (BB KINGS Club in July, 2005). I have followed all of Eric Carmen's solo efforts including the imports that were not released in the US.(Special thanks to AMAZON for making them available). I bought Wally Bryson's follow up albums when he was with FOTOMAKER and TATOO. Outside of all of my original albums I bought RASPBERRIES BEST OF, the old Capitol album, when it came out on CD. I bought another BEST OF just a few years ago that was being offered with more songs. I bought the BEST OF ERIC CARMEN shortly after which included a number of RASPBERRIES songs. I bought all of the RASPBERRIES CDs when they were offered as two-fer double CDs. I even bought the six song "almost" RASPBERRIES CD from their web site (It was very good). Now along comes this "Remastered" BEST OF. I can't see myself buying these same songs for the forth or fifth time. It includes nothing new. There are a few unreleased tracks from the bands early albums and quite a number of good quality live and rehearsal recordings that have been circulated over the years that could have been included to attract old fans as well as new. I don't see the point of this album. It offers nothing new. Sorry.
