Roy Brown was a trailblazer who bridged the R&B music of the late 40's and rock and roll of the 50's. A young Elvis Presley used to go to hear Roy Brown sing - listen to Roy's music and the influence is unmistakable. A bitter battle with the record companies shortened Roy's career - we are all a bit poorer for it.
