I know Roy Clark is an icon in the country music world, and I was really looking forward to hearing some good old fashioned country and bluegrass music, but I really didn't get that on this album. Most of the songs on this compilation reminded me of the songs I'd hear at the dentist's office when I was a kid: soothing Big Band era melodies played by a string quartet at a slower than normal tempo in order to put the waiting patients into a tranquil mood. Maybe Roy Clark is well deserving of his legendary status in country music, but this album doesn't help me understand why.

The songs in this album really are the very best of Roy Clark, in my opinion. If you only have one Roy Clark album in your collection, it should be this one.

If you are a fan of Roy Clark, then you have to have this CD.

I love Roy Clark! This CD had all the songs that I remember as his best.

Clean recordings of material done in late 60's and 1970's on Dot. Missing a couple of my favorites, but altogether a nice selection.

I am so happy to finally have this CD of Roy Clark. He has been one of my favorites for years. I listen to the Roadhouse on XM10 and when the song "If I had to do it all over again" came on, I had to get the CD. All his favorites I liked through the years are on this CD, including the one I wanted.
