No, this is not the original Specials line up.However, it is still a must have item for any fan of the Specials. The musicians on this cd are all from Long Beach,California.Neville Staple: lead vocals,Chris Clawson: drums,Chris Colonnier: trombone & vocals,Ed Kampwirth: bass & vocals,Travis Laws: guitar & vocals,Jesse Wilder: guitar & vocals, and Jane Wiedlin: special guest...

1.0 out of 5 stars Another Ooopppssss
I guess I did not read all the fine print regarding the description of this CD. None of these recordings are the originals. They have all been re-recorded and lack any of the rawness The Specials & Fun Boy Three had. If you want a slick, polished, produced and mixed CD, then this is for you. I was really ticked off about my purchase. Reminder to self: Read all the info...

First this is not the original line up,far from it.Second it has WAY more pressing's than 200 or 300 and it's not a offical release from the band.
I'm huge fan and I have one word for this.....CRAP!

How can they actually believe it was a good idea to re-record these songs and then re-release it as a ''greatest hits'' package? This is extremely disappointing. If you're looking for the authentic sound of the Specials. This is not it. If you're looking for what sounds like an old cover band (lacking in emotion and going through the motions) this is most definetely for you.
