A Lasting Impression,
By Ramsess "gray" (Fayetteville, North Carolina) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Very Best of (Audio CD)
Stacy Lattisaw gave us perhaps one of the most angelical voices I have ever heard. This girl was simply raw from the tender age of 13. She could deliver a ballad like no other whether kid or adult. Stacy was the bomb. I recently pulled this cd from my collection and I almost thought most of the songs were recent releases. They are timeless. Songs like "Let me be your Angel" are still haunting and rivals any thing done by the current so-called "girl singers". This girl was the perfect picture of pure innocence while sing adult songs. Every song, no matter how corny was done with such fervor. I guess Stacy did not realize how many lives she was touching in those days and in my case it is still so. Just listen to such cuts as "My love, Miracles, and don't let me get started on " Don't throw it all away" which is a true anthem for the foolish of heart. In her career she did such 60's cover songs as "Love on a two-way street" and "Hey There Lonely Boy" both done very well. But my favorites have got to be "Every Drop of your Love" and "Let me take you down" which were pulled from her Motown days. Stacy is almost like a tigeress when pour at these two. She is both raw and seductive without being sleazy. Word has it that Stacy was disenchanted with the music industry and just wanted to live a "clean Christian life" I would take Christ any day too, but boy do I miss this gal. She probably would have been "like dynamite".

Best of Who? Where Is She Now?,
This review is from: Very Best of (Audio CD)
From beginning to end, this gives older Stacy Lattisaw fans something to remember and new fans something to cherish. Stacy Lattisaw came at a time when there weren't many young solo R&B/Pop stars. The little powerhouse was a force to be reckoned with in her day, boasting a soulful and pristine voice full of emotion. Whoever decided to compile this timeless collection did a good thing - may God bless you! I was so elated to stumble upon this CD, price was not an issue. I knew I had to have it in my collection! Get yours!
However, I have two questions: Where is she now? Can we have her back?
