Limited edition three disc (two CDs + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) pressing of the most-excellent remixed and remastered Doors compilation features a bonus DVD that includes live concert performances filmed in London, Stockholm, Frankfurt and Amsterdam during the band's historic European Tour in 1968. The package will be foil stamped and will also include a 32 page booklet with rare photos, extended liner notes and lyrics! The Very Best Of The Doors two CD set cuts deeper into the band's studio albums with key songs that defined their sound including "Orange County Suite" "The W.A.S.P. (Texas Radio & The Big Beat)," "Five To One," "When The Music's Over," "Whiskey, Mystics And Men," plus the unedited version of "The End." Each track boasts a brand new mix supervised by The Doors and Bruce Botnick, the band's original engineer and producer. "We want our fans, both new and old, to hear what we discovered on listening to the actual multitrack recordings," says keyboard player Ray Manzarek. "There are background vocals by Jim Morrison, piano parts of mine that weren't used, and guitar stingers and solos by Robby Krieger that never made the original recordings that can now be heard for the first time. We used state-of-the-art techniques to bring these discs to the same sound quality we experienced in the studio when we initially recorded our songs. THE WEB PAGE WHERE THE DISC APPEARS HAS ALSO SOME INFORMATION REGARDING THREE CD'S WHICH CONFUSED ME WHEN I ORDER THE CD. IN ONE PART OF THE AMAZON WEB PAGE APPEARS THAT IS ONLY ONE CD AND IN THE SAME PAGE APPEARS THREE CD'S: GREAT CONFUSION AT THE MOMENT OF THE SELECTION OR WHEN WE ORDER. AMAZON REMOVE THE DESCRIPTION OF THOSE THREE CD'S THAT ONLY CONFUSE TO ALL OF US. THE CD IS EXCELLENT. THE SELLER ALSO IS EXCELLENT. BUT THE WEB PAGE TO SELECT OR WHERE WE SEE THE DETAILS IS A MESS.

One reason I purchased the import version of this album was that in the description it states "plus the unedited version of "The End". This statement is not correct. The version of "The End" included on the import CD is NOT the unedited version. The end result was paying a $10 premium to no purpose.

I've buy this items last week and I've to say that it's FANTASTIC !! The sound is wonderfull !! Seems like The Doors plays into your room, I've got a lot records but the sound in this pack is the best. Buy it ya!!
El sonido es espectacular, mucho mejor que las anteriores ediciones en CD, vale la pena aun por el precio que cuesta. Los Doors parecen que están tocando dentro de tu habitación y el DVD no tiene desperdicio.
