my 2-year old son loves this book. he wants to read it every night, and every night we talk about things that are big and things that are small afterward.

My 3 year-old daughter just loves Peter Reynolds and so do I! We've had this book for over a year now and we don't tire of it. For parent's who are looking for "empowering" book for girls I don't think this book should be overlooked. It isn't a "girl-power" book but those often sound didactic and well point out that girls need "empowering" since they don't have it. Here you have a spunky girl character whose dad makes her breakfast, whose mom is a dentist, and whose aunt is a construction worker and this is just normal life. Oh and did I mention that her favorite color is ... Orange? A delightful book!
