Reality trumps fantasy,
By edk365 (Saratoga Springs, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Very Busy Day In The Garden (Paperback)
The best kids' books relate to their familiar world. This is one of those books. The photos are full of interest, picturing animals, birds and insects to name and discuss with your child. The clock faces and the changing light in the photos relate each reading of the book to a child's daily experience of morning, daytime and nightfall. This is a book that will reward each reading with new discoveries--and will encourage kids' interest in making similar discoveries in the real yard or park.

This review is from: A Very Busy Day In The Garden (Paperback)
A very busy day in the garden by Lori Kolb-Speer is a wonderful children's book. It is an adventure into the world of nature. The photos are great and the game of looking for the ladybug is fun. It teaches children to look at the world around them that is right in their own backyard and to see the different forms of life that exists. The wording and rhyme is easy to read. I would recommend this book for any child and parent to share.
