Smokey At His Very Best, December 2, 1999

Not only is this an excellent Christmas album, with very strong Christian overtones, it is also a collection of some of Smokey Robinson's finest vocal performances. The sound of both the earlier and the latter albums, which were combined for this reissue, is remarkably clean and yet warm. Add in a thoughful packaging effort and you have one of the best Christmas releases of the season.
