Selections include Good King Wenceslas, Baboushka, and Wise Men and a Star. Cheerful illustrations in bold colors on white background will hold the attention of young listeners, and the large type will encourage beginning readers, although words like myrrh and frankincense will provide a challenge. This is a great book for my students with special needs. It is simple enough that some students can read it themselves; the colorful pictures grab their attention. This book would be perfect with a different title (that would be more appropriate for my older students with disabilities).
