This book by Jack Valenti, an aide to Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) provides interesting accounts witnessed by the author. It is somewhat biased in that Mr. Valenti only has nice things to say about all of LBJ's aides. I read this book to supplement others books I have read or am reading (Flawed Giant by Robert Dallek) about LBJ. Mr. Valenti's book is worth reading and does provide information that one does not get from a standard biography.
