The toy was smaller than anything you would get at a circus or carnival. Very poor quality. I bought it for my 1 year old grandson and was afraid to let him have it.

This toy pairs nicely with the board book. It is small, a good size for toddler hands. It's about 7 1/2" long, about the same length as the board book. We just love the story and give it as baby gifts from our kids regularily. It was nice to have another little item to complete our theme.

This story has been a favorite of mine for years, and now I have young children to enjoy it all over again! We got this little book-and-toy set for my 9-month-old daughter because she kept chewing on our good copy. The caterpillar plush quickly became a beloved toy, and she loves for us to tell the story using it. As the caterpillar eats through the various items in the book, her caterpillar "nibbles" at her nose, tummy, and toes. It's so much fun, that my three year old now tells the story by memory, complete with caterpillar friend "eating" the baby! :)

I purchased this toy to put in my kindergarten reading center, I was a little disappointed with the size but I probably didn't pay close attention to the description. We have several "reading buddies" but this was the first one from the book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". I have since found the larger one at another store and the kids love it. It has sparked a new interest in the book and the kids like to read to their new reading buddies.

This is an adorable plush toy and quite enjoyable for the little ones but maybe not worth the cost plus shipping. However, if you get free shipping or are already ordering several things so that the additional shipping would be relatively little, I definitely reccommend it. My two year old niece loves to hold it while watching the Hungry Hungry Caterpillar DVD.

This is a cute companion to Eric Carle's "Very Hungry Caterpillar" book. Although he's too big to "eat" through the book.

This product was what I thought it would be, albeit a little smaller than expected.

Delivery time was well in advance of what was quoted.
