A very long movie with stunning visuals carefully crafted to form the narrative, a movie deserving more than one viewing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Could have been a great movie but,, January 20, 2006
This review is from: A Very Long Engagement [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The subtitles were sometimes white/ sometimes yellow and in a poor location on the screen usually on a scene where the background was the same color! Made it very difficult to read if at all. Also, the way the screens make it near impossilbe to follow the story. Some of the scenery is great. It was a very different movie. If you understand French it would be a good movie... w/o subtitles if you can follow the scenes. I would rewatch it if, it was remade.
