Maybe this is a guy's book,

I really enjoy the Ethelred & Elsie series and wanted to read this because the series is great. Sadly, this book was a disappointment. The main character was so unlikeable and the plot dragged on to a very unsatisfying ending. But the book was well written and I think the theme may appeal more to men.
