My son borrowed this book from his school library and was so sad when he had to return it. He was absolutely delighted to get it for Christmas. Now, he says, "It's mine forever?" and I'm happy to say "Yes!"

I read stories to an array of children from ages 2-12. This book is great for all ages. It's silly enough to entertain the little ones, but it also has a good message behind it. It's pretty simple, but it's very cute. I love it! I'll be reading it to my Pajama Storytime Crowd next month! :)

Like many of the other reviewers, we first checked this book out from the library. My youngest son, who will be two in February, absolutely loved it. He would ask us to read it even after we'd taken it back to the library, so I'm here to pick up a copy for his Christmas present. I know he'll be so delighted to read it again. It's such a great story, and really encourages kids to be proud of the things that make them unique.

This is an AMAZING book that will teach children that even though you may look different, you are not useless. Great for encouraging children to be comfortable with themselves.

I had originally checked this book out at the library and it was such a hit with all three of my kids...ages 3, 5 and 7, that I decided to get it as a Christmas gift for my 3 year old. Of course they all love it though! It's just such a cute story and it teaches to be happy with the way you look rather than comparing yourself to others.

The story of ugliness has been told in so many ways. This I think uses good graphical illustration for humor and the kids loved it. I read it at my child's preschool and the whole class loved it.
