Yellowman comes through yet again with this smash! I simply love this CD no matter what the season is. My 5 year old daughter loves it too. Yellowman's story is an important one. Born as an orphaned albino in Jamaica he was shunned and looked down upon by society. However, he has a gift and he stayed strong and eventually won over his country and his people. The years have not always been kind to Yellowman. His earlier material was much more raunchy than his more recent efforts. Cancer has helped deform his appearance, yet Yellowman is still going strong and never giving up. Dealing with cancer changed Yellowman and he changed his creative output to strive for social conscience in his work. I find him to be a gentle and kind person who has a gift of love to share with everyone. This christmas album is top notch Yellowman. He brings you right into his heart and he helps spread the word and the joy. Not always easy to listen to because he talks about issues that not everyone wants to think about. For example "what about the children who have nothing? what about the children who are suffering?". I disagree with the other reviewer that says this is a funny CD. There is nothing but heart on this CD. Sure, Yellowman may have a good sense of humor, but he is not making this album as a novelty. His words are dear to him and he believes in what he chats about. True to form, Yellowman creates an experience worth beholding on this CD and if you listen to what he says he may just soften your heart and cause you to make the world a better place. 5 stars??? This album should get a zillion stars. We love you Yellowman. You are a hero.

Good stuff, but you have to enjoy Reggae immensely to get this CD. Yellowman, one of the more accomplished Reggae stars has his defined nitch. Christmas music is not it at all, but its fun nonetheless. Interesting permutations on old Christmas classics, and a few new ones of his own. Good beats too.

This album sits alongside such classics as Macho Man Randy Savage's "Be A Man" as an unintended hilarious masterpiece. Just the thought of finding mommy kissing Yellowman is enough to bring a tear to any child's eye.....the mere inference sends chills up and down my spine. The various turds throughout this album are shined to a glimmering yellow.....making such lame songs as "jingle bell rock" tolerable, if not enjoyable. And may all your christmases be yellow.
