3.0 out of 5 stars Selections from Salmi a quattro chori Venice 1612, March 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Vespri Di San Luca (Audio CD)
Not in the same league as Monteverdi or the Gabrielis but interesting and worthy production, sponsored by the town of Viadana in Lombardia, from which (we assume) Lodovico took his family name.

Recorded 1993. Timing 74'10, full texts in Latin. No translations, but then none needed for this repertoire, as anyone who buys this will already have several Monteverdi Vespers (and probably also the Cavalli and Rosenmuller Vesper sets on Harmonia Mundi).
