Binding is ecxelent. But look font isn't that good. Sometimes it's light dark the other time it's black dark. Considering that font is so small-it should, no, must be consistent. I didn't expect such mediocre from Cambridge. Still, because of the binding I would buy this book again. And this is Word of God. How could I be critical?

Cambridge has put together a beautiful tiny edition of the New Testament. Moreover, it is in the easy-to-understand New International Edition. The calfskin is luxurious and supple with a nice even, natural grain. The gold embossing could have been a little more precise but it is understandable because of the small size. It even comes with a nice black ribbon to mark your favorite passages! A special slipcover is also provided. In summary, this is an A-1, top-of-the line pocket new testament that won't be found outside Cambridge.

I bought one of these pocket NIV new testaments a few years ago. There are a fair number of cheaper pocket NT's out there, but I purchased this one in the hopes that it would be durable, and that has proven to be the case. I also have a full-sized leather Cambridge wide-margined NIV bible that is an excellent quality bible, so I felt confident that this little NT would also be good quality. I got this NT to set up a personal goal of reading through all 4 gospels once a month. This amounts to 3 chapters a day, easily do-able in 20 minutes a day. I haven't been able to keep up with this month-in, month-out, but I have done it for a good 12+ months. Though I can see the binding between a few of the pages, none of the pages have begun to come loose, and it has seen a fair amount of usage. This NT was in a bag along with my cell phone that I dropped in the garage and accidentally backed over with my car. The cell phone was ruined, but the bible came through unscathed.
