It is a part of a bigger book " All Things Great and Wonderful" so it is cheaper to buy any book titled " All things ..."

BEWARE, I purchased this series thinking they were a continuation of James Heriot's first four but to my disapointment the publisher riped off the public by reprinted the original stories under a new title. I tryed to return them but gave up and donated them to the local library

Love love love this whole series! I cant say enough about it. i have enjoyed reading and re-reading this series for several years and there is just nothing like it. Great stories of a Vets life in the olden days of england. Colorful descriptions and comedic and gripping writting. I would suggest this book for anyone looking for a chuckle or aspiring veterinarians... like me!!

This book, and the entire series, is awesome! And just so everyone understands, the books in THIS series are the originals. Each of the All Things books are two of these books put togetther. Just read The Real James Herriot: A Memior of My Father by Jim Wight. The Real James Herriot: A Memoir of My Father

I agree with the reviewer who donated her copy to the library. I too felt cheated when I received the book I bought and found it was just a "retitled" portion of a classic James Herriot book. However, there is a reason to buy these: they come in large print which the usual Herriot books do not. This is very helpful for my elderly mother. From looking at the "combo" sets of these retitled books I think this is the order they come in: 1. If Only They Could Talk 2. It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet 3. Let Sleeping Vets Lie 4. Vet in Harness 5. Vets Might Fly 6. Vet in Spin 7. The Lord God Made Them All

Don't buy this book! The ink is set on poor paper and it therefore is BLURRED! You will go blind trying to read it. I refuse to even try. Please check this out with others if you wish but seriously, it is not readable. I can only imagine that they went on the cheap paper and the ink is not set up right. HONEST! Save your money.
