As an Arrmy Veteran, I was glad to see this offer from Amazon, brought back some great memories, such as hearing taps at the end of the day and knowing that all was well. And it introduced me to some new military songs that I had not heard. Would have been great if the Army's Hymn had been included, but realizing that not every branch branch can have all things, it is a good selection. Again, thank you Amazon.

Veterens Day honors those who have served, and by extension, those currently serving. The holiday asks us to pause and consider the burden they bore or currently bear on behalf of all of us. This sampler gives us a taste of just a few of the music ensembles in the armed forces.

I don't think enough of us recognize the long history of music making in the armed forces. I know only that all the service branches have musical ensembles made up of talented musicians who can defend themselves, and have been around since the American Revolution.

The musicianship on this sampler is of the highest quality. All the service branches are represented here, but not all of the ensembles. Take a listen and try to keep a dry eye (especially on the Navy Hymn).

A wonderful tribute to those who served and continue to serve.

I'm late to ordering this CD...however as an Army Veteran i want to say THANK YOU to ALL who Serve and Have Served.

Being a older veteran, whenever I hear our country's patriotic songs it never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Despite some of our country problems from time to time, it is still the greatest country in the world thanks to those honored on this day for defending our freedoms.

Really... All the negative reviews are from over a year ago. For something that is not the fault of the creator of this album. All of the non-relevant reviews need to be wiped off this product.

As for the music, it is great.

This download has been a pleasure to own. Very high quality and effortless to download.

The pinheads with the one star reviews must have run into some temporary problem last year and never had the decency to update their reviews.

It works perfectly and I love it. My son is in the Army and I love to be reminded of what he is doing.

No problems downloading for free like many Veterans experienced last year. I wasn't charged and the music downloaded instantly. Please enjoy this music with family and fellow brothers (and sisters!)-in-arms. Semper Fi!

Thanks to Amazon for making this available for free in honor of Veterans' Day 2011! This is a great selection of well-known patriotic melodies, performed by various ensembles from our armed forces. Between the tunes, the excellent performances, and the price - how can it merit anything but five stars?
