Excellent Resource
As are other Rookie Readers, this book is an excellent resource on the topic, appropriate for elementary-age students. Pictures and type-size make it easy to use this book in the classroom.

Educational for Kindergarten age or prek
This book is small, alittle hard to actually hold. Not many words, yet still teaches children about Veterans day. The pictures inside are real people and events. No illustrations. Good for children in kindergarten or prek. Too small to read to a class and show the pictures, odd size book. I was slightly disappointed, but I quess it does explain Veterans Day so its good.

The students in my class truly enjoyed the book. We used it as a kick off to their presentation at a local Veterans Home. Perfect intro to the brave men and women who are fighting for our freedom.
