one of my favorite Native American CDs,
By me (Foster city, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Veterans Songs (Audio CD)
I started listening to Native American music, chiefly powwow music, about four years ago, and it has become one of my favorite categories. Of the ones that I have listened to, this has become one of my favorites. For those that are new to this music, it takes a while to get comfortable with it but it is well worth it. My advice for getting into it is to try to sing along. If you do, you will come to understand the structure and expressiveness of the songs. The liner notes with both the Lakota words and their English translation are especially appreciated.

Honoring the warriors,
By JOHN W HEDGECOTH (CROSSVILLE, TN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Veterans Songs (Audio CD)
As a Vietnam Era Vet , the son of a WWII Vet , the grandson of a WWI Vet , and my ancestors who fought in the Civil war and wars before. This is a wonderful tribute to all who were willing to die to preserve their way of life. Stirs emotions even in our Usdi(Little One) she'll dance to the heartbeat of the Drum as the thanks are offered. Wado to Lakota Thunder Sgi
