5.0 out of 5 stars Vet says it is good
I bought this cautiously because I didnt know if it would make my puppy sick, but she was getting burned by lounging in the sun all day. I brought it to my vet before I applied it to her and she said that it is a good sunscreen, she said something(forgot the ingredient) in sunscreen for humans makes the dogs sick because they lick it. She no longer gets sunburned and can...

1.0 out of 5 stars Sun RELIEF spray or is it a sunSCREEN?
Unable to find a suncreen for our white and pink outdoor loving cat, I chose to purchase this product. It is advertised as spray sunscreen for dogs. However, upon the product's arrival, I noticed the label does not have an SPF and it actually says, 'Sun RELIEF Spray' (emphasis mine). The price and the natural components of the product were the selling features, so out of...

She no longer gets sunburned and can lounge around outside all summer long, and I even put it on her while she is inside because she will soak up the rays though the patio door!!

He is so sensitive to the sun since he is white and attracts all the sun rays. He thinks it is playtime when we spray on the sunscreen. Cover the eyes and just spray away!

My dog has an immune disorder and this seems to help prevent the flare ups she gets on her nose when out in the sun. We do a lot hiking during the year and she is out in the sun a lot. I feel it works for us.

If there were a way in which the dogs didn't lick it, it would be a perfect product.

I have a mottled Chinese Crested mix and so far this spring he has not gotten sun burnt. For some reason my crazy dog loves being outside in the sun so I apply the sunblock about every hour. And since he is small, 7 lbs, he doesn't use that much. I just wish that it was in a bigger bottle.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sun RELIEF spray or is it a sunSCREEN?, August 10, 2011

Unable to find a suncreen for our white and pink outdoor loving cat, I chose to purchase this product. It is advertised as spray sunscreen for dogs. However, upon the product's arrival, I noticed the label does not have an SPF and it actually says, 'Sun RELIEF Spray' (emphasis mine). The price and the natural components of the product were the selling features, so out of about four choices, I bought this (and it's more expensive than MY sunscreen!). Well, needless to say, poor Sarge still has curling, crispy ears (no, he loves it outside and won't even think of staying in). Either for some odd reason it doesn't work on cats OR it truly is a sun RELIEF spray for actual sunburns. Either way, I can't help but think that ten bucks plus shipping is now gone down the drain and our poor kitty is still miserable. Back to the drawing board.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good sun protection for my Bichon Frise, August 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Veterinarian's Best Sun Spray Sunscreen for Dogs, 4oz (Misc.)
I have a Bichon Frise, who has white fur with pale skin. Before using this product, the skin on his nose would turn pink when we would spend time at the lake in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I spray this on his body and ears. To apply it to his face, I spray it into my hand and then apply it to his nose with my fingers. The product works well. His nose does not get pink when he's in the sun, even for long periods of time at Lake Havasu when the temperatures get up to 120 degrees. I would highly recommend this product for your pets!
