Veterinary Endosurgery,
By David Sobel (Hanover, NH USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Veterinary Endosurgery, 1e (Hardcover)
Dr. Freeman's book is an important work in the burgeoing field of veterinary endoscopic surgery. Good coverage is given to basic endosurgical topics such as equipment, anesthetia, and access sites for different procedures. Much of the work of Dr. Freeman and her Ethicon colleagues stems from their groundbreaking work in the human surgical R&D. As such, some of the topics and procedures covered are of limited clinical value to veterinary practitioners. Even some of the more valuable clinical topics are over discussed relative to less treatment of some very basic and utilitarian endosurgical techniques. The veterinary practitioner will have to wade through some of the less relevent information, but all in all, this is an important text for any practitioner interested in endoscopy and endosurgery. DS Sobel, DVM
