The liquid works well for my dog and my cats for their various stresses (thunderstorms, general craziness, food obsession). Doesn't make my pets loopy, just calm. If you have difficulty administering the liquid via syringe, try mixing it with some kitten/puppy replacement milk or Lactaid (lactose free milk from your grocery store).

My lab has always been neurotic, and we have tried every herbal remedy and prescription. Drugs made him loopy and the herbal remedies never seemed to do anything. My dog displayed major anxiety when I left the house and was eliminating indoors without reason. This went on for years until we found this product. So amazing....

This worked for my 14 yr old dog, short from getting him a brain scan. Our dog was exhibiting weird behavior.. wandering around the house lost, scratching at the floor,panting, scratching himself, biting his tail, drank alot of water.. I took him to the vet. we ran blood tests. His blood count was normal or nothing serious. We couldn't figure out what was causing this behavior. I was ready to take him in for a brain scan, when I came across this item.. our dog is a lab cocker mix. I gave him the 3/4 dose and I was very surpised he settled right down. I just give it to him when he starts to exhibit the behaivor. It calms him right down and he rests and plays like he's old self.. I highly recommend this product, but first see your vet to make sure your old dog is not suffering from something else.

You may not be aware that you have a cat that is in a stressful situation. I found myself in that specific situation. We adopted a second cat and within a couple of months the first cat was urinating in certain spots in the house. When we determined that she didn't have an infection the Veterinarian suggested using composure in addition to a plug-in called Feliway. I wouldn't suggest buying something "with" Feliway but get the actual brand called Feliway. Place the plug-in within the room that the cat is displaying stressful behavior such as urinating and scratching. Twice a day use a syringe to place the specified amount of composure in the cat's mouth. It stinks, it's true. The directions do say to place it in food but the animals probably won't touch it. Using a syringe, open the cat's mouth and place it towards the back to squeeze it in the medicine. I'm done within 5 seconds. I have noticed that if I miss a dose, the cat starts to get cranky. I now call her my ADHD cat and composure is her Ritalin. However, it's just a calming medicine and doesn't zone them out. It's eliminated the urinating and has kept me from getting rid of my beloved pet.

I love the composure we use it for our miniture poodle that has become anxious since we brought home two standard poodles. The miniture chews himself constantly until he is raw and almost has no hair left. The composure works within a few days of first use and he relaxes and so do we that chewing is irritating for us all.best of all dogs like the taste and will take it easily. I tried another product but I couldn't get him to take it without forcing it. I highly reommend this product if your pet has anxiety of any level.

I have a 6yr old pointer mix dog that I got at 3yrs. He is highly reactive to bikes, skateboards, anything with a diesel engine, other dogs and some people (and a few other things). I had done reactivity training and that laid the groundwork for calming but he was so bad and he would still erupt with force. I tried this product and after a couple weeks noticed a slight differnce so kept going. My dog has been on it for 6 weeks and I can can clearly see improvement. I have been able to reduce the dosage to 2/3 the recommended dose. Using this product has made him calmer in previously tense situations. While he will never totally lose his reactivity to all of his fears, this product has really taken the edge off and made our twice daily walks much more pleasant for both of us.

After enduring a horrible reaction to a prescription med from my vet for stress related sypmtoms my dog sufferred with, the Liquid Composure worked miracles! In only 2 days, my dog relaxed and her personality of calmness returned. This product has NO side effects and is totally natural. It is a much better method of relieving stress in a pet than using prescription meds that have more side effects than the initial symptoms. The price at Amazon is the best!

I have two big female dogs,(one an alpha), who were beginning to fight regularly. I put the alpha on this medication about 2 years ago and she mellowed out quite a bit. They have not had a real fight since - although, she does get a bit grumpy now and then. I give her half a teaspoon on her food morning & evening. She likes the taste and usually licks it off the kibble first. This product is easily dispensed and has been a lifesaver.

I tried this for my dog w/anxious and fearful temperament. It seemed to take about a month of mixing in with her food daily, but she did become much less reactive in her fearful situations. After using for around 6 months we discontinued (it's expensive!) to see if she would do well without it. She has been pretty good for about 6 months but gradually seems more anxious again. I am planning to try another course of composure to see if it helps again. Maybe it is something she will need on and off to maintain, well, composure!

Composure Liquid has made a significant difference on how my Golden Retriever copes with most thunderstorms. I have had to give more than the minimal dosage but that's not a problem because she loves the taste! Storm capes and other natural supplements did not compare.
