My papillon was diagnosed with a grade V-IV heart murmur and congestive heart failure. In addition to his vet-prescribed medications (furosemide, enalapril and Vetmedin) I started giving Cardio-Strength supplement several months after diagnosis and noticed a definite improvement in his performance status. Recently I took him off commercial dog food and began making his food at home, and his performance improved even more. Due to the severity of his condition at diagnosis he was only expected to live 6 months or less, but it has now been nearly a year since diagnosis and he is still getting along well and feeling well with only minor issues considering how bad his heart function is. I feel that the Cardio-Strength has really helped my little guy in improving the quality of his life and would recommend it to anyone who has a dog with heart issues.

I have used this for my Bichon who has CHF, this really has helped her stabilize her condition--at the last cardiologist appt her vet said her heart actually had gotten smaller! I use this along with Apawthecary's Hawthorne Plus, and recommend both highly!!!

I got this product because I was waiting for an order of Cardio Support by Standard Process and I was extremely freaked out about my dog having no supplements for heart health at all in the meantime.

My dog has a stage 5 heart murmur and nothing is going to reverse his heart disease, but only if I am lucky slow down the continual damage. I have created a protocol that is working at the moment. It includes Ubiquinol, Aceytl-L-Carnitine, Blue-Green Algae, the above mentioned Cardio Product by Standard Process, and a product called Oxygen Therapy Treatment which is not sold on Amazon but you can google it. Also of course the drugs the vet prescribed Lasix, Enalapril and Vetmedin. And least I forget I give him raw chicken hearts. The veterinary cost of these drugs is prohibitive, and I get them at Costco, luckily for me the vet is willing to send prescriptions there for me. Also Costco is willing for your dog to go on the uninsured patient plan, so you get more than the Costco discount on the prescriptions.

I did not notice any particular improvement with this product and I would recommend it for preventative measures only, like if you know your dog has a heart murmur but the vet doesn't recommend drugs yet. Sort of like a daily vitamin for the heart. I have no doubt it is good for that. If your dog is well into heart disease and you can only do one supplement I would recommend the oxygen treatment therapy which I found out about on The Great Dane Lady website. If you google her you should find it. I know that other reviewers have stated this product helped their dogs with symptoms of Congestive Heart Failure which is what my dog has, but I did not notice an improvement that I was not already getting from the Cardio Support by Standard Process, and Standard Process has the added benefit of freeze-dried heart meat in it as well.

As with most supplements, you need to try it and see how it does for the body it is being ingested by.

I purchased this product after receiving news that my 8 month old Sphynx had a heart murmur and consequently A diagnosis of HCM after an echocardiogram from a cardiologist. Immediately I researched ways in which I could extend his life and well being and joined a forum of other cat owners who were going through te same thing. I waited 6 months to see if the scan was a fluke as he had been extremely ill with an URI and the vet thought this may have damaged his heart some. On his return visit we going that he still had mild HCM and was on the border of RCM where his heart tissue was now hardening. I researced like crazy again and read that people used this product and some of the benefits people were having. I immediately purchased cardio strength as well as animal apawcrathy's Hawthorne tincture, solid gold sea meal's daily vitamin powder, and began supplementing him daily. On his third scan he was miraculously clear of any signs of HCM or RCM. I was beyond ecstatic, but was worried that maybe something was off and scheduled him for another scan in 6 months. His last scan was last month and again no signs of HCM/RCM! He does have a leaky mitral valve but nothing that requires any worry or medical attention at this point. I can't help but believe this product as well as the others that I have used for my cat have been what has helped him so much. If anyone struggles with HCM with ther cat please try this product as well as the others I have listed and feed a raw diet. Te benefits are amazing! Thank you Vetri-Science for your wonderful products! I also use your daily senior vitamin for my 10 yr old boxer, which I never would have done without the wonderful benefits of cardio strength I have seen.

My 11 yr old Pekingese was diagnosed with CHF and I was devastated. I started researching things to help him and started giving him the Cardio Strength. He perked right up after about a week and started eating again and begging for treats. Just got off the phone with his Vet and she is very pleased at how he's doing. We are going to cut his Lasix back from 2 a day to 1 every other day. I will continue to give him this. It worked wonders. He had been hiding under the couch and not wanting to go in the bedroom with us at night and now he's back up on the couch and runs in with us at night.
