This is the second Vetta bicycle computer I bought through Amazon. I saved a few dollars (even with the shipping charges) compared to buying at the local bicycle shops and delivery was pretty quick. This computer does more than I need but since I have a 18 year old Vetta computer on my oldest road bicycle that still works I stuck with the manufacturer and am not disappointed. Even though I am an old school guy this new computer is great and easy to use.

Good computer but with a couple of flaws,

I bought this computer because it has "Freeze frame" memory; i.e., you can hit the black button in the picture and it records your data at that point. This is great, exactly what I needed to be able to see how I did on each leg of a ride. One serious flaw is that it tends to detach from its mount when you hit that button. I've mounted it, pushed on it to make sure it clicked into place but still had it fly off during a ride when I hit that button. The best way to prevent this is to hold the unit at the top with an index finger while pushing the button with a thumb. The other flaw is the wheel circumference calculation; my previous computer worked great at a circumference input of 2180 MM; the table that comes with this one shows the same 2180 for my 700 x 35 tire, but the distance and speed displayed were wildly wrong. I ended up setting it at about 1100 through trial and error to get accurate speed and distance. I'm keeping it, but only after finding work-arounds for its flaws.

Heavy Duty!?!? Fell Off Gone!,

Had for less than 200 road miles before it fell off. Thought heavy duty would be good for mountain biking, NOT! Rode into the woods for 1/2 mile before I noticed it was no longer on the handlebar. Any slight bump and there it goes, flying into the leaves. Caught it once or twice, the third time, could not find it. Heavy Duty?!?!? Mounting bracket is wimpy, wimpy, not heavy duty. Entire unit should be replaced.
