I thought that I was reordering the same Vev Vigano pot that I had used for about 15 years before it giving out, but this turned out to be a cheaper replica. I don't know what the previous one was made of but it was heavier, sturdier. This one is light weight...it takes considerably longer to brew (about 16 - 17 minutes to brew at high heat), and it doesn't hold the heat as well. It feels cheap when you pick it up.
It does make a good cup of coffee, so I'm not entirely unhappy with it...
In terms of a typical coffee mug, it makes 2 1/2 mugs.
