I purchased this CD because I've always been a great fan of Sandi Patty's work. I thought this was a re-issue of some of her favorites, but indeed some of the familiar ones seem to have been re-engineered or re-recorded, and there are some new ones, at least new to me. "They Could Not" is a beautiful rendition with outstanding lyrics ... "Glorious Morning" has never been sung so beautifully and "The Day He Wore My Crown" seems new and more alive than ever.

Sandi Patty has been through the war; the struggle to be as whole a person as possible, with the world looking on, and she has survived and is stronger than ever. After 25 years as a premiere artist in the Christian music genre, and many well deserved awards and much recognition, Sandi continues to sing beautifully. And I just noticed she has a new album being released soon. Amazing!!

This is the fourth (2008) in what has been an annual series of Word Sandi back catalog repackaging efforts after "Duets" (2005), "Voice of Christmas" (2006) and "The Definitive Collection" (2007). This set features Sandi at her dramatic Gospel spotlight best and the sound quality is superb and consistent from beginning to end. The thematic focus is the sacrifice and redemption Sandi songs. The included version of "They Could Not" is from "Lift Up the Lord" which contains the thrilling high note ending version. This "Old Rugged Cross" is from "Hymns Just for You". No alternate tracks for long-time Sandi fans and the liner notes are skimpy. Nevertheless, this is a nicely assembled repackage that offers a nice sampling of Sandi songs that are all about Lent and Easter and may intrigue newer Sandi fans enough to seek the blessings of a deeper exploration into the Sandi discography. If you need a spiritual uplift, you can't go wrong with this album. Sandy Patty has the voice to give you chills. These songs are both uplifting and beautiful.

I placed an order for my product on December 13 210 and its now January 13th and i still have yet to receive my product. i contacted the seller numerous times but have yet to receive any answer yet...please keep your money away from this seller
