NOT the best way to get your calcium,
As a woman, I too have concerns about building strong bones and staying healthy. However, this product is NOT my idea of a health supplement.
Just glance at the ingredients list (where items must, by law, appear in order of predominance): First comes "Corn Syrup" and "High Fructose Corn Syrup"--these have calories but NO nutritional value; they're used simply because they are the cheapest sweetening agents available. They're also likely to come from GMO corn (meaning it's been genetically modified to withstand high doses of petrochemical pesticides and/or herbicides). Further down, there's "Soy Lecithin." While regular lecithin is derived from egg yolks, soy lecithin is chemically extracted from soy (and most likely GMO soy, to boot). Essentially, it's a waste product that comes from the manufacturing of soybean oil. You see, the "sludge" that's left over from soy refining is de-gummed with chemical solvents and (voila!) becomes "soy lethicin." "Glyceryl Monostearate" is a synthetic, petroleum-based emollient and emulsifier (frequently used in makeup products...yum). And "Artificial Flavor" (could they BE more obscure?) is likely to contain dozens of chemical compounds. Even the "healthy" part of this product, the "Calcium Carbonate" itself, happens to be the cheapest form of calcium on the market. What's more, like all inorganic forms of calcium, it's poorly absorbed (only 5-10% actually gets into your body). These days, there are so many HEALTHIER options when it comes to vitamins and nutritional supplements that there's really no reason for putting this kind of petro-chemical cocktail into your body. The fact that this can be sold (and actually recommended) as a "health" product is a real shame.

Viactiv new formula,

I used to love Viactiv carmel flavor and found it a good way to get my calcium, but they have changed the formula. The new product is VERY sticky and has an unpleasant artificial flavor. I won't buy any more unless they go back to the old formula.

Viactiv vitamins:
I have been using this product for years to get daily vitamins and and Calcium D. It has been approved by my family physician! So it is good for me but it is also yummy (chocolate). I recommend it highly.

Happy to have this product available....hard to find locally.
When sent the wrong flavor, seller sent a replacement free of charge. Certainly not necessary, but much appreciated.

Easy to take calcium,

We cannot take most standard calcium "pills"--they are usually too big and get stuck in the throat even when taken with yogurt or banana. These "candies" are easy to take. We actually need to remember that they are not candy. My husband prefers the chocolate, and I like the caramel.

Very very pleased with this product and supplier. The chews were "soft and chewy" and the taste actually enjoyable.

I waaaaaay prefer the Adora Calcium supplements. Viactiv is a much better alternative to the chalky, monster-sized calcium pills that usually require you to take 2-4 a day to get your daily recommended value. But a single Viactiv chew is still pretty big and very gummy/chewy. There's also a slight chalky aftertaste. The Adora supplements taste like an actual chocolate candy and it's easier for myself and my daughter to take them since they're more manageable to chew.

This product is a good alternative to sometimes hard to swallow and digest calcium tablets. After taking this form of calcium + D for about 3 months, I've been happy with this product and now have it on subscribe & save shipments. Tastes good too.
