I bought this thing hoping it will kill these mosquitos and when it arrived, to my suprise it didn't even work! Sure it lit up and stuff but i saw a mosquito flying around and didn't even go near it. The seller is rude and doesn't even return your money back. If your smart don't go near this thing.

I bought this unit to deal with the tiny insects that find their way into my study through the window screens. It it not very effective and after two weeks of use I think it's zapped maybe two bugs.

I live in a small studio apartment - one room - that is plagued by a single mosquito that tends to bite me in my sleep. I've been trying this useless "bug zapper" for almost two months and it hasn't killed a single bug!!! I'm so frustrated!

I bought one of these and noticed that the green LEDs didn't attract any insects. So I replaced them with five real UV LEDs and now it works quite well. It's not too hard to replace them if you know how to do a little soldering (make sure it's not plugged in!). UV LEDs are available on Ebay.

Small fruit flies and other indoor insects are not attracted to the light. It is useless. MORE DISTURBING - is that Viatek charged me for 2 units. They shipped only 1. And they will NOT make good on the order. Initially they admitted the error but then never processed the refund. Upon follow up, they claimed no error. When I sent support documents of purchase and shipping receipt, they stopped all communication. BUYER BEWARE.

I was hoping this was a good Idea! I have another bug zapper that uses blue bulbs to attract the bugs but the bulbs are quite expensive and burn out rather quickly (but it does work). The Zap em manufacturer claims no replacement bulbs are required. The only problem is the little green led's that are supposed to attract insects simply don't. I purposely let in several insects the other evening to see if this device would catch any. Not a single one! I even turned off the lights once the critters were in the house to see if they would be attracted to the green light, but none went near. I had two set up where insects frequent (near doors) and tried them out for just about a week. No success! Fortunately I also bought a bug vacuum off Amazon for $6.99. This thing is awesome and helped me clean up after my zap em experiment.

I bought two Viatek plug-in bugzappers about a month ago. Unfortunately they did not work as I expected but the company has very kindly offered to replace them with their Mosquito Shield. Great service!

Plug In Bug Zapper This is a piece of crap and not worth the money that I paid for this product. Buyer beware of this product, do not waste your hard earned money for this bug zapper. I wish I had seen the reviews before I purchased it.It does not even deserve one star on the review.

The product does not kill bugs, and when I tried to upgrade to a model tht would work, I could not even get a response from the company.

It just sits there and glows like a blacklight in each of my rooms. Have yet to find a single insect in it, dead or alive. Save your money. Don't buy this crap.
